HOW LONG DO YOU HAVE TO WAIT AFTER A NEW WINDSHIELD?

In order to ensure the windshield is safe and secure, our technicians recommend waiting to drive the vehicle for at least one hour after service is completed. We will be sure to advise you if any additional time is required.

WHEN CAN I WASH MY CAR AFTER WINDSHIELD REPLACEMENT?

We ask that you wait 24 hours after your windshield is replaced before going through a car wash. The chemicals and water pressure may affect the installation. Regular precipitation, such as rain, will not affect the sealant or cure time. In fact, water can speed the cure process.

HOW DOES THE CHIP REPAIR PROCESS WORK?

A special resin is injected into the center of the chip. With the help of some pressure applied with a vacuum, the resin spreads and fills, extending from the center of the chip. The process takes less than 20 minutes. Once it’s done your windshield is safe and ready for the road.

CAN A WINDSHIELD SHATTER FROM A CHIP?

The only reason that your windshield should ever cave in or completely shatter is upon extreme impact (a brick or very large rock) or during a wreck. So all of you who are riding around with a chip in your windshield now have one less thing to worry about.

HOW BIG OF A CHIP IN A WINDSHIELD CAN BE REPAIRED?

Windshield repair technology is a rapidly advancing industry, so the ability to repair large chips change quite often. Generally speaking, chips smaller than a quarter, and up to two inches long can be easily repaired.

ARE CHIPPED WINDSHIELDS COVERED BY INSURANCE?

If you have comprehensive coverage and your glass claim is covered, then chances are you are covered for a chipped windshield. However, there is some information you must determine about the chip first to ensure it is in fact a candidate for repair.
